We have been come to ljbtc for about 30 years. It never disappoints and we always have an amazing time..beach, tennis, golf. The views are fantastic. Kitchen is well stocked and the employees are always very attentive and friendly.

This place use to be so great. The rooms are an absolute dump, and the customer service is so sad. Was a wonderful place when I was younger, but yikes. Will not be back. BUMMER because we love La Jolla.

Pros: Amazing location! They were willing to help supply items missing from the rooms. Beach staff was friendly and helpful. Cons: Really rundown condition of almost everything in the rooms. Rusty, scummy dishwasher. Gaps between tile and carpet. Rusty vents. Paint chipped. Daily housekeeping did not vacumn obvious sand and did not wipe off countertops. Club food was mediocre. The rooms were very loud late into the night. Overall this is like Motel 6 experience with an amazing location. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

I went there for an interview. They have 2 locations right next to each other. They have options for travelers and residents. It looks very well maintained. Very nice views. Parking seems ok. Easy to find.

Although I would not recommend getting a membership here, it is a beautiful spot and it has many amenities from I believe 7 tennis courts to a good sized pool it also has front row access to the beach and I don't know much about the rooms but I walk by here quite a bit and it is a lovely spot

The first room we got was a dump, period. Smelly old and disgusting. Loud banging on the walls from the restaurant kitchen staff at 10:30 PM, which they said would continue for 2 more hours. Front desk responded with offer to let us pay to change rooms or give us ear plugs. Seriously, this is no where near as nice as any budget hotel at less than half the price. Do not stay here. Update next morning. Manager moved us to slightly smaller room that doesn't back to kitchen, tried to be more accommodating. Among our party, two left hotel as soon as they saw the rooms, one got upgrade to much nicer room after complaining, and we at least moved to similar room without as many problems. Why they didn't move us immediately or offer to upgrade us last night is beyond me. The manager tried to be accommodating, which is why I'm upgrading from initial rating of 1 to a generous 2 for service. I still wouldn't recommend staying here, but I'll tolerate it for 2 more nights, unless something else goes wrong.
